In-House Engineering

Sulluk Logistics engineering division was created to support the continuous request for dedicated engineering know-how. With this division, there is a  deeper involvement of engineering know-how within our clients’ most challenging construction requirements. The Engineering Department’s role is to prepare the following Technical Specifications that will be used during the transport/lifting operations for safe execution.

• Equipment list
• Transport and Lifting drawings with all the details of the means and equipment to use
• Calculations Statement (stability, structural, ballasting, load-in and load-out operations)
• Operative procedures explaining the safest way to execute the job; organization charts; checklist for the preparation and control of the equipment and step-by-step description of the operation
• Operational methods (Road/route survey, tolerances, maximum speed, wind speed limitations, maximum reactions, etc.)

The Importance of small details

Large transports require a large organization that can handle all types of transport issues: there are many important points to consider before initiating a heavy road transport, especially when dealing with a project on a total solution basis from conceptual design to positioning on the foundation including lifting and logistics operations.

The first step is the analysis of the item and an accurate road survey in order to ascertain the feasibility of the transport as well as identify any foreseeable problems. The survey is performed by experienced personnel who check the entire route, step-by-step taking into account various measurements and making a detailed list of all the obstacles and items to be removed (street lamps, road signs, etc.) roads to be strengthened and any temporary road supports that need to be positioned during the passage of the convoy. The engineering department designs the method of transport according to the job-specific parameters. It prepares the technical specifications for the procurement and construction of the equipment such as specific saddles, supports, beams…etc. that will be used during the transport operations as well as 3D cad drawings, and safety-oriented documents such as method statements and risk assessments.

Door to Door Services

Sulluk Logistics offers Lifting, Transportation and Project Logistics services simultaneously. This combination enables us to provide our clients with a Project Logistics and Door to Door concept that keeps coordination and responsibility in the hands of one company. One contact, less interfacing risks, reduced costs and better-coordinated services.

We coordinate and control all the Logistics and shipping stages starting from the PDI, Pre-carriage, issuing all documentation, Loading and transport planning, insurance policies, Customs formalities and continued status reports on door-to-door deliveries through our dedicated operations department and committed Sales Support project coordinators.

Our Regional offices and Global partners offer support for a wide range of ocean transportation of materials originating from all around the world to their final destination, including the chartering of High, Heavy and Project cargoes.

Overland Heavy & ODC Transportation

Sulluk Logistics provides a wide range of inland haulage all over the region and coverage clusters for Out of Gauge, Over dimensional and Heavy and Super-Sized cargoes.

We specialize in transport of oversize loads performed with special trailers SPMT (Self Propelled Modular Transporters) as well as conventional Hydraulic Trailers and Heavy Duty Trucks (Pullers). These trailers provide a solution for the haulage activity of loads (such as reactors, offshore platforms, turbines, modules, and ships which are becoming increasingly heavier) in restricted areas or in challenging sites where standard transport equipment is not suitable.

These special trailers (with the option of coupling the modules) combine the flexibility of hydraulic suspension with the reliability of dedicated and powerful Power Pack Units, each able to move a 40 axle line convoy on uneven and irregular ground.

Jacking & Skidding

Sulluk Logistics offers a complete, single-point solution with our specialized operators in the field: Transport, Lifting and Final Assembly. To perform this kind of Heavy assembly, Sulluk Logistics utilizes a suitable fleet of gantry cranes, strand and screw jacks.

Our engineers analyze the configuration of the load (weight and dimension) and all the assets in order to guarantee the safest and quickest way to perform the erection/jacking down. These include: drawings of the items to be lifted, detailing and description of connection points, support elevations, centre of gravity positions, risk analysis with lifting procedures and comparison between various alternative assembly methods. The studies can be as detailed as required by the Client under safety requisites.

Erection and assembly specialists, closely monitor the combination of the different stages, the erection and assembly schedule through alignment and levelling operations up to and including final testing operations to provide clients with a complete “turn-key” service.
